I do not often talk about worldly matters, like politics or whatever the topic of the day is. Mostly, because I don’t spend much of my time on them. But I see the headlines, and I certainly feel the strain. Maybe Charles Bradley is right — The World, Is Going Up In Flames.

But I still can’t turn my head away, seeing all these things.

Grok says that there are currently 13 wars taking place worldwide. And while everyday citizens struggle to make ends meat, the world just gained it’s first trillionaire.

On June 12, 2026, the financial world witnessed the culmination of “The Great Squeeze” with the SpaceX IPO. This was no ordinary listing; it was the birth of an aerospace and artificial intelligence powerhouse, following a strategic merger with xAI. Structured as a fixed-price offering of 555.6 million shares at $135, the “SPCX” debut raised $75 billion. By the closing bell on day one, the stock sat at $160.95, commanding a $2.1 trillion market cap. -primalbeet

TRILLIONAIRE!? Have you stopped to think of how much money that actually is? A trillion is 1,000 billion. Y’all, that’s a million millions! 🤯 And here my stress level rises when gas goes up a nickle.

But they don’t see me crying — they don’t hear me trying.

The World, Is Going Up In Flames — nobody, wanna take the blame.

You. You. You. And Me. What am I going to do?

I am going to continue to focus on the things that are within my control, and let go of those that aren’t. Because not only do I not have the capacity to hold it all, but there’s no sense in wasting my energy worrying about things that I can do nothing about.

I — we, are much better off focusing on what we can do. The things we can change. Only when we all are doing our own part individually, is it possible for the collective to make a difference — a lasting change.

We may not have the capacity to affect the world in the ways that the top 1% does. But we can damn sure make a difference in our homes and communities. And that small ripple could in fact become a tidal wave by the time it reaches the other end of the world.

Charles Bradley fought the good fight. In researching this song, watching and listening to his interviews it became clear to me that he was using his gifts, his talents, to shine his Light of Love. And I too, make that commitment.

Change for the better of your soul — Change for the World.
