I think that this is the best time to be addicted to knowledge! The web can be a great source, but I sometimes have to run things by my personal bullshit monitor (i.e., my hubby!) - he's very good at detecting the stuff. I tend to double or triple or even quadruple check 'net stuff because there's a lot of hooey hiding among the facts. But the ability to id bugs and plants, or to figure out what kind of owl is hooting out in the woods? That's pure magic!
Absolutely! Much of what I meant here is the ability to access information - purchase books and have them immediately, and even hold a discussion online with it's author or others on the subject. It's wild! I have even joined a philosophy group with one of my mentors, and am able to engage in live discussion on one of my favorite books.
